What we sell:

At Greenward, we sell eco-modern goods. As we define it, an eco-modern product is always elegantly designed, attractive, and functional. It is also at least one of the following:

  • made from recycled materials
  • recyclable
  • made from organic materials
  • handmade
  • made from sustainable materials
  • energy efficient
  • biodegradable
  • educational

All products at Greenward are screened to fit these criteria. Being green doesn't mean having to sacrifice style. Moving “greenward” benefits our homes, our communities and our planet!

How Green is Greenward?

At Greenward we are continually exploring ways to reduce our environmental impact. At the moment,

  • We re-use or recycle as much as possible of the packaging and paper we receive from our suppliers.
  • We use only energy-efficient compact fluorescent bulbs to light the store.
  • We participate in the NSTAR Green program.
  • Our floor is made of renewable, eco-friendly cork.
  • Our speakers are made out of reclaimed whisky barrels.
  • Much of our display furniture and shelving is made from eco-friendly bamboo or sunflower seed husk plywood.
  • We will recycle your technotrash and compact fluourescent light bulbs (CFLs) for you at no charge - just drop them in the bins by the front door. Note that we can only accept relatively small amounts of technotrash from each customer. If you have a large amount of technotrash to recycle, visit Greendisk to find solutions.
  • Our walls are painted with low-VOC paint.
  • Our gift wrap is 100% recycled kraft paper with biodegradable cotton ribbon.
