Sigg's aluminum bottles are lined with their powder-based, co-polyester "EcoCare liner. The EcoCare liner is certified to be 100% free of BPA, phthalates, BADGE, BFDGE, and NOGE. Its application generates virtually no waste and utilizes no organic solvents or VOCs. SIGG bottles are tremendously durable and virtually unbreakable. SIGG bottles are manufactured in an ecologically-friendly environment and are 100% recyclable after their very long lives.
SIGGs can be washed in the dishwasher, but this will dull the paint's finish over time. It is better to just clean them out with hot water and a little dish soap or vinegar. Clean the bottle more often if you fill it with liquids other than water. SIGG cleaning tablets and brushes are also available. Always store with the top off after cleaning to allow the bottle to dry completely.
